Triple-digit temps return

The Valley heat risk increases to moderate this weekend.

PHOENIX — High pressure is here for the weekend and that means we're in for some of the hottest temps of the year yet! The highest temperature Phoenix has recorded so far this year is 102 degrees and we accomplished that on April 22 and again on May 17.

Breezy afternoons will continue to be an ongoing daily theme with dry and mainly sunny skies. Areas of elevated fire weather conditions are expected.

Temperatures will dial down to double-digit territory next week and hover near to slightly above normal.
